Dr. George Middleton, 1923-2008




The Founder and Director of the Governor's Program for Gifted Children, Dr. George Middleton, passed away at home in his sleep on April 27th, 2008. Please join us in expressing our condolences to Mrs. Middleton and the rest of Dr. Middleton's family.

Josh Brown (GPGC Class of 1986) will continue to serve as the Assistant Director of the Governor's Program until a Director has been appointed by the Governor. As Dr. Middleton strongly wished, the Governor's Program for Gifted Children -- which represents Dr. Middleton's life's work and his most enduring legacy -- will continue this summer and hopefully for the next 50 years as well.
